Mentally I am very much broadened by my contact with men. Physically I can see no change. What elements of your college life and work were most valuable to you in service? Having a mind trained to think and study, rather than having in my memory any particular fact was the most valuable element of my college work while in service. What is your present feeling regarding universal military training, etc.? I favor a very brief course of military training from which no one is exempt save for serious physical disability. If you took part in the fighting, what impressions were made upon you by this experience?
