Opposed to war; but once in, we have to back the country What were the mental and physical effects of your army experience on yourself? None except a lessened vitality. What elements of your college life and work were most valuable to you in service? Study of french, I was with the French army. What is your present feeling regarding universal military training, etc.? Oppose to universal military training, favor the League and other means of "getting together." If you took part in the fighting, what impressions were made upon you by this experience? Strengthened my impression of how futile a civilization is which has not yet found any way to settle disputes except to stand off and blow each others brains out.
