Subtraction aims to explore harmony between humans and the natural world, encouraging visitors to put away their devices and look up toward my reflection of the outdoors. The form - achieved through the suspension of 2,788 pieces of yarn - was inspired by that of dripping stalactites and driven by the boolean difference of geometries, which the name highlights. This project ultimately serves as a symbolic shelter intended for indoor exhibition, meaning that it functions figuratively, in comforting the soul, instead of literally, in protecting the body from the elements.
