My work is a poetic meditation on perception. I explore the contention between being seen and simultaneously not seen, through a series of percussive visual poems. I share unabashed stories honest to my experiences as a queer Black femme; leaning into themes of sensuality, loss, and anomie. My poems have the spring and flow of poetic rap, to reflect how the work moves both visually and sonically. The pulse of my work is further conveyed through visual movement and color.
