This body of work is composed of images that reveal intimate yet gruesome displays of the body. Through a disruption of the typical viewing of paintings in rectangular compositions, I have broken that rectangle and created flat amorphous surfaces that contain gooey and vibrant paint. By straddling the line between recognition and abstraction with my painting technique, I explore visceral responses to a specific set of visual sensations.
