This thesis aims to evaluate the evolution and salience of Human Rights Education (HRE) in recognition of its effects on individuals’ judicial decision-making at an intersection of domestic and international law. I advance findings of existing literature through an observational study of HRE in law schools. Regarding judges’ consideration of international law, I adjudicate the influence between newly received information and existing attitudes in a novel application of existing theory through a mock trial experiment, evaluating the effects of amicus material on an individual’s consideration of international statutes and standards. In doing so, the components of this thesis characterize and measure the connection between judicial actors’ education and their decision-making processes in a human rights context.
