A radio show. A solo journey. A lost dog. A car drive. A night swim. A tiger tattoo. These are the events that make up the six episodic love stories told in Versions of Us, a radio play written for Departmental Honors in the English department. Each story–or episode–is meant to be heard, not seen. Much of the “staging” of the piece comes through in the exploration of sound; some episodes exist only in voicemails or voice memos, and others exist in the reimagination of landscapes through audio. The lives of the characters in each episode occur separately from each other, but their stories are all woven together through themes of loneliness, friendship, and love.
