A song of whispers, the voices of this poetry collection burn in chorus and foreboding. Last Will and Testament is prophecy, beginning with prayers for the soul, then in the crossing to life, visions of life’s frustrations. Then passing; then in life, love and death, a bluebird, water fairies, a guitar song, a map, and myth. Critters sing. Angels sing. Humans sing. Then at the end of life, a life becomes illuminated. And then paradise. And then love again. This book is a warning, a plea for the living. Live well, or all will be lost. Only in remembering, imagining, and living, can hope be found again. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is Last Will and Testament, the poems. The second part is the Interview, which was conducted by the author on himself, about the process of writing the poems. The third part is the Appendix entitled “The Wrath of Poetry” by the author under the persona of Lâm Le, and is a treatise which provides information on the author’s philosophy of poetry, and poetics.
