My Senior Thesis presents a translation of seven texts by the Austrian writer Elfriede Gerstl (1932-2009). The pieces come from a 1995 collection entitled "kleiderflug, oder lost clothes." The title poem anchors the collection, while the six essays that follow elaborate and expand on the themes explored in the poem, which include fashion, collecting, living spaces, the city of Vienna, and twentieth-century history in Europe.
