The Physiological Society of Wesleyan University was established in 1839. It was based on the teachings of Sylvester Graham, who advocated a vegetarian diet and temperate lifestyle. The Society appears to have disbanded in April 1844. This book contains the records the Physiological Society of Wesleyan University, and includes two constitutions, a members list, and meeting minutes.
