The Activating Library Spaces Program ensures ongoing visual and performing arts programming at the Wesleyan University libraries with the intention of promoting intellectual freedom and responsibility, enhancing awareness of different forms of creative expression, and nurturing an inclusive environment that embodies humanity, empathy, and humility. By showcasing the creative work of students, faculty, and community partners—particularly those from underrepresented communities—the program creates opportunities for public engagement where artistic inquiry and dialogue can productively intersect.
