Henry Bacon, (born Nov. 28, 1866, Watseka, Ill., U.S.—died Feb. 16, 1924, New York City), was an American architect, best-known as the designer of the Lincoln Memorial, Washington, D.C. The collection includes correspondence, plans, vendor estimates, scrapbooks, drawings, photographs, blue prints, and more of Henry Bacon's career and primarily showcases his work on Wesleyan University buildings as well as correspondence and photographs related to the Lincoln Memorial.
